Handmade rugs are very popular worldwide for their quality, models, and longevity. A hand knotted Oriental rug is composed of several components, namely, warps weft, knots, cloudy, fringes, and kilims. There are basically three types of handmade rugs: knotted, tufted and woven fabrics. Persian carpets are divided into the Turkish knot and knot. This node is cut to form the pile of the carpet, making carpet or flat woven or pile. Flat plot takes less time than a pile carpet, and therefore cheaper. Kilim is a popular form of flat oriental rugs. Returning to the Persian carpets and Turkish Knot, both types are divided into chains of curvature in one or two levels. These types are characterized by the formation of knots. In the case of Persian knot, when we say that the strings of warp on one level, this means that all knowledge is shown twice, and when bending strings discussed in two levels, which means that each node is displayed only once . The same applies Turkish node. However, Persian knot use of warp strings at two levels is classified into open and closed new carpet back.

In the case of knot reopen Persian carpets, the complete cycle of the node is in the warp again, and again closed the carpet warp is formed when the bottom contains the complete circuit of the node. Closed carpet behind only known in China, however, reopen oriental rugs made in Pakistan, China, Iran and India. Hand-woven carpets are made of thousands of knots every day, but full-sized Oriental rug takes many months in its final form.

Hand-knotted carpets are very popular because this type of carpet in each plot is tied and bound on the factory-made carpets. In addition, hand-knotted Oriental rugs are easier to clean and maintain.
