Afshar Carpets: these are generally smaller rugs designed with geometric motifs. Multiple connected diamond-shaped medallions, throughout Farangi Gul (Rose),Botehs, and motifs such as chicken (Afshar-e-Morge) are the common designs. The colors range from dark red, brown, brown, red, dark blue, blue, burnt orange, ocher, and camel. Tabriz Rugs: Most designs are geometric curvilinear even if they are too.
